I’m going to show you the coolest car we have on the line. A beautiful 2016 Challenger 392 Shaker Scat Pack R/T edition.
In the front here, I’d like to address this beautiful kickback to the 70s, the shaker engine. It’s a 392, that’s 6.4 liters of fun. 475 Horsepower. 485 pound feet of torque. This is a super B edition so you got the nice badging here.
Other than that, if you pull up the side, it’s an absolute sleeper. We’ll never see you come in. The sound of this car is awesome. Let’s hop in the driver’s seat. I’m going to show you all the cool features on the inside. I’m going to shut that door there.
So let’s start this up. You got to listen to the sound of this. It’s absolutely breathtaking. Let’s get to rev the engine a couple of times here. There’s no replacement for displacement, and this engine has the most of it. One of the most fuel efficient high speed engines on the market you can buy. 475 Horsepower. You will get there, and get there in style, my friends.
So I just want to start by going over some options that are on this unit. We’re looking at the adaptive Cruise Control. Essentially it’s a radar unit that’s on the front of the vehicle. And when you pull up on the highway you’ll actually set it on, and it will keep the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you, and the speed. But if something cuts in front of you it will automatically slow down the vehicle and keep the safe distance that you can set on your wheel here.
You got the 8.4″ touch screen with every option. You can add navigation to it as well if that’s something that’s too close to your fancy. We got the sunroof here. We got the premium Super B Suede insert leather interior, for the front and back. And you also got a lot of fun options here that I’ll go over on this 8.4″ touchscreen.
As far as controls go, you got heated, cooled seats. You’ve got your app so if you want to drag something down. With the Shaker Scat Packs you have something called Performance Pages. It will show you your exact G-force, your Horsepower. You can do lap time if this is the car you’re going to be racing with. Or doing some heavy performance work with.
Also, you can go into settings and customize every single option from start up to shut off on this vehicle. I just want to address one thing here. It’s all these fun buttons here. You got Sports mode. You got Super Track Pack mode as well.
This vehicle actually comes built in with the brake stand. All you do is press the button, you throw it into drive, you push your foot on the gas, it will rev it all the way up to 7000 rpm and disengage the locks, and you’re flying. And that’s some fun G-force, some good times. I won’t be doing that on this test drive. But if you do end up getting this lovely vehicle, it will certainly be a fun thing to do with a few friends, I’m sure.
I’m just going to take you guys on a test drive here. I want to show you how this handles. We got a little bit of snow today. But even with the updated trash control system in this vehicle, with the system it has, it will actually optimize your traction and Horsepower to keep you safe on the road even with a little bit of snow on the ground. It could be the all year vehicle for you.
Let’s just hit the road here. We’re going to go on a test drive See, everybody is looking at me. This car is so bad-ass, man. Everyone’s like, “What’s that? It’s so cool.” I’m not doing any racing, I swear to God.
This vehicle is actually equipped with a really cool thing under the hood. It’s called MDS. And what that is, it’s the Multi Displacement System. When you drive it on the highway at highway speeds, it actually shuts down to 4 cylinders. So it will maximize your fuel efficiency. When it detects that you put your foot back on the gas, it will re-engage the other 4 cylinders. So you have the power of the V8 and also the fuel efficiency of a V4. So, you can get the fuel efficiency down, but the power’s always there. And that’s the great thing with this vehicle.
Just the raw power and the Tudor look. It’s such a flash back to the good old cars of the 60s, 70s, and the 70s, 80s vehicles. I’m going to just turn the car around up here. I just want to show you a few more features on the outside here. Few cool things that are, maybe under the hood.
Let’s take a look under the hood here on this beautiful Challenger. So as you can see they took it back to the Shaker which was a very cool design they put in a lot of 70s or 60s vehicles. That actually puts the air intake right above the engine.
The 392 is, in my opinion, one of the most fuel efficient and powerful V8s you can buy. Aside from the 5.7 Hemi. But you’re looking at considerably more power, considerably more torque. And just, above all, a lot more fun, let’s be honest.
