Celebrate Canada Day in style this year with your family at the St. Albert Celebrates Canada Day event. Activities and fun go on all day with a spectacular fireworks display at the end sponsored by St. Albert Dodge. Located at Rotary Park, you won’t find a more perfect way to celebrate Canada Day 2016.
Event: Heritage Lakes Pancake Breakfast
Time: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm
Location: Ecole La Mission
Start your day with a delicious breakfast at Ecole La Mission with the Heritage Lakes Pancake Breakfast. This event runs from 8:00 am to noon so you can even sleep in and enjoy the fabulous meal. Vendors and food handouts will be on-site at Rotary Park all day, so you won’t need to go elsewhere for snacks or meals.
Event: Children’s Entertainment Events
Time: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Rotary Park
Keep your kids entertained with numerous options. Starting at 11:00 am at Rotary Park, they can play on the inflatable bounce castles, run through obstacle courses or slide down a large slide. Visit the animals at the Realty Executives Petting Zoo or play games and make crafts at the various booths. Let the children pick out a fun design for the face painters. You can also visit the Coca-Cola Kids’ Zone, the Flight Centre Adventure Zone and the Lexus of Edmonton Family Zone for fun activities and events.
You’ll notice displays by the RCMP, the Military, Public Works and Emergency Services that will fascinate kids of all ages. Live entertainment will give you a chance to sit and relax for a while. These activities last until 5:00 pm.
Event: Concerts In The Park
Time: 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
Location: Rotary Park
Adults will want to check out the concerts at Rotary Park which were also sponsored by St. Albert Dodge. They begin at 11.00 am and run around 20-30 minutes until 5:00 pm. Check out Orchard Duo to open the show and see other acts, including Celeigh Cardinal, and Marie-Josee Quinet. End out the show with Thursdays.

Time: 7:00 pm – 10:30pm

Event: Canada Day Fireworks Display
Time: 11:00 pm
Location: Mission Park
The fun isn’t over yet with a night concert beginning at 7:00 pm at City Hall. See the Scenic Route to Alaska, The Dungarees and Odds with the final performance ending at 10:30 pm. The night isn’t over yet with the magnificent fireworks display set to begin at Mission Park at 11:00 pm.
Park on-site or use the Park n’ Ride from St. Albert Centre for your transportation. You can also either bike or walk to the event. Please bring a donation with you for the Food Bank. Numerous sponsors make this event possible, including St. Albert Dodge which was involved with the concert and fireworks display.
